Getting Ready for China….Round 5!

We are so excited!! We are 5 days away from our travels to go get our son Benjamin! This will be the 5th time we have traveled to China to adopt a precious treasure and we are thrilled to be meeting our sweet boy very soon! We feel so blessed to welcome another little one into our growing family:)

In 2013 we traveled to China to get Samuel and Abbie got to come with us then. This time Abbie and Becca get to come along for the journey! They are super excited to travel with us and we are looking forward to some quality time with our sweet girls:) Naomi and Sam are staying home with Brie and Bryan and kids and Grandma Ellie and Megan, so they should be well taken care of! We will miss them greatly, but know they will be well loved while we are gone.

We plan to update this blog throughout our journey which begins on Wednesday, January 14th. We would so appreciate all of your prayers while we are traveling. Prayers for safe travel, for a smooth transition for Ben (and us) as he adapts to being in a forever family, prayers for health for all of us, prayers for energy and good sleep while we travel and prayers for Sam and Omi and everyone else at home…and any other prayers you might think of!!!

A few days ago we received an update on our sweet boy and have some new pictures we would love to share with you. He is currently a little over 6.5 years old and has one of the sweetest smiles we have ever seen!

That punching bag practice will probably come in handy once he gets home and meets all these little boys we have running around here!

Wherever this is looks pretty fun:)

We are excited that he stands and smiles nicely for pictures….that's more than we can say for the other three little boys!!

Ok, well, I had better wrap this blog post up because while we are super excited to go get Ben, we have NOTHING packed and in suitcases yet! So, the packing awaits….that's something you could pray for too! 

We will update again soon…I hope….actually, Becca has learned how to do all of this blog posting stuff so it's a good thing she will be with us!
