Day 3 and Day 4 in Guangzhou

Hi Everyone:)
Once again I am behind in posting so I am going to try to breeze through the past two days and then ask Brie to post lots of pics for you to see:):):)
Most of the pictures are worth more than a thousand words anyway:):):)
Thanks for hanging in there with us and following along and thanks to those of you who have texted me or posted comments, or encouraging E-mails:) They just truly mean a lot right now:):):)
We are still having technology issues here...and we can't even access the Blog.... So hopefully we can respond to more of you in a few days:):):)
It has been so nice to experience the mild temperatures here in Guangzhou and to see more Palm Trees:)
It is also nice not having to wear 18 layers of clothes, boots, hats and gloves!!!
Yes, thank you Lord for the few days that You have given us a reprieve from the Wisconsin Frozen Tundra:):):)
Ok, let's get started here.... On Sunday we all woke up, got dressed for the day, went downstairs to the Hotel Breakfast, and then met our Guide,  Elvin at 9:30am in the hotel lobby:)
I was pretty excited because we were scheduled to be visiting Shamian Island and hopefully getting to go to Christ's church on the Island:)
Shamian Island holds many beautiful memories for us because it is where we stayed when we traveled to China to adopt all three of our girls:):):)
They all three went to church for the very first time on the Island at Christ's Church:):):)
I can remember sitting in the church and crying all three times because the Lord had orchestrated every detail to get us and our girls to that Beautiful Little Church to thank Him, Praise Him and Worship Him:):):)
That's back when all the adoptive families stayed on the Island and the American Consulate was on the Island as well as everything else that the Adoptive Families needed.
Many of you have heard of the White Swan Hotel ( it has been closed for three years now and is still being renovated!!! )
We actually stayed at the Old Victory Hotel on Shamian Island while adopting Abbie and Becca, and were finally able to stay at the White Swan with Omi's adoption:) It was a beautiful Hotel and also had a nice playroom for all of the babies and children to play in....and all of the mommies and daddies to get to know each other while their new babies played:):):)
Then several years ago, the American Consulate moved to a different part of the city, The White Swan closed for renovations, and thus began the re-routing of the Adoptive Families and their agendas when Adopting from China:(
I guess sometimes change is a good thing.... But it really was SAD when they moved everything off of the Island to random other places in the City of Guangzhou:(
Making a long story a little shorter....we did not make it to church this past Sunday and we did not get to go when we adopted Samuel either!!!! We were Dissappointed:(
Yikes....now these two little boys will surely need all of your extra prayers and lots and lots of JESUS!!
We did go to a Pedestrian Shopping Mall on Sunday, to a Jade Market, and then walked through the Qing Ping Market on our way to Shamian Island.... It was peaceful and somewhat quiet (even for China ) because it was Sunday morning:):):)
We loved getting to spend most of the day on the Island, we shopped, ate a great lunch at Lucy's, met some new friends, talked with some of the owners of the shops, and finally ended up at the playground by The Pearl River where Abbie, Becca, and Ben played for a long time:):):)
We bought Ben some bubbles (that he loved) and He was like the Pied Piper with his bubbles.... All of the little kids wanted to follow him and chase the bubbles:):):)
Abbie and Becca have both been so Amazing with their new little brother.... He has bonded with both of them and is having so much fun with them:):):)
When it was starting to get dark, we took a taxi back to our Hotel, deposited our bags in our rooms, and went out in search of a place close by the Hotel to have dinner. We found a little place not too far from the hotel to have pizza and pasta:) Thank You Lord!
We stopped at the 7/11 on the way back to the Hotel for some ice cream :)
Ben loved it and so did the rest of us (it was haagen daas:)  Back to our Hotel... Jammies, prayers, hugs and kisses..... BED:):):)
Thank you Jesus for another great day in Guangzhou!!!
P.S.
No Breezing Through!!!!
