Ben's Gotcha Day!!!!!

Hello Everyone,
Today was/is Benjamin's Gotcha Day!!!!
Yay!!!! Thank You Lord!!!!
We woke up early, showered, got ready for the day and then had a quick breakfast at our hotel before meeting our guide at 9:00 am in the Hotel Lobby:):):)
I have to admit... Pretty sure that we ALL had Butterflies in our stomachs, but Becca was especially excited and eager to get going to meet her new little brother:)
We arrived at the Chengdu Civil Affairs office early and ended up waiting about forty five minutes to an hour for Ben and his nannies to get there:) Abbie and Becca were watching for them to come from a window and we were all so excited to hear voices coming up the stairs.... Yay!!!!It was Ben and his Nannies and they had finally arrived!!!!!
I saw him first and he gave me a great big smile!!!!
He let me hug him and then he let Mark hug him and he smiled so Big for most of the pictures:):):)
We introduced him to his new sisters and they both hugged him as well:):):)
We are So Excited to introduce our new son to you... Benjamin David Ming DiBlasi:):):)
He is just SO PRECIOUS AND SO HAPPY:):):)
For the most part.... He smiled and was agreeable to take pics and show us his backpack and the things in it:)
But then at one point I think it was beginning to sink in that this was for real and we were indeed his new forever family and he started to cry:(
It was SO SAD:(
I cried with him:(
I'm sure that it was and is all SO OVERWHELMING for him!!!!
His nannies and our guide talked with him and consoled him for a bit... And then we gave him some candy and he stopped crying almost immediately:):):)
They brought him back into our special Gotcha Day room and we took some more pictures and talked with our guide and his nannies for a bit, and then it was time to go:)
We left first and he came with us willingly and waved goodbye to his nannies!!! What a VERY BRAVE LITTLE BOY!!!
YAY GOD!!!!! And,
Thank You all so much for praying.... Please keep your prayers coming... Even after we get home.... That is truly when it gets really hard with the language barrier!!!!
Believe it or not he does know a few words in English and has repeated MANY words in English for us today:):):)
That is Truly encouraging and makes us think that he will catch on to the language quickly:):):)
I actually have been praying for God to whisper English in his ears as he sleeps at night or maybe even dream his dreams in English:):):)
Remember, nothing is impossible for God!!!!
We came back to our hotel and settled in for a bit, and then headed to McDonald's for lunch:)
He loved it and even initiated helping to clean up when we were finished eating:):):) YES!!!
We went for a walk after lunch to a local store, and then back to our hotel to have some bonding time:):):)
I am fairly certain that Ben has touched everything in this hotel room at least 20 times or more!!!!
Things he is allowed to touch and things he isn't!!!
He seems very comfortable with us so far, and is a very, smiley, happy BUSY little boy!!!
Interesting.... We have three more little boys back in Wisconsin JUST LIKE HIM!!!!!
Pretty sure that he will fit right in!!!!
At this time, he is sitting with Abbie on her bed, singing The song Let It Go from FROZEN with her:):):)
Not sure if he knows all of the words... But he knows the tune:):):)
Today was really quite MIRACULOUS AND WE FEEL SO BLESSED TO HAVE THIS PRECIOUS LITTLE BOY JOIN OUR FAMILY!!!!
We know the days ahead could be challenging and we will need lots of patience and love until Ben learns English and understands what Being part of Our Family and God's Family
is all about.... but with God's help and all of your prayers....We know that we can do all things through Christ who gives us strength:):):)
GOD BLESS YOU ALL AND THANKS AGAIN FOR PRAYING FOR US.... And for being on this journey with us:):):)
It's a Wild Ride... But So worth it!!!!!
HAPPY GOTCHA DAY BEN!!!! WE LOVE YOU!!!!!
